The Voynich manuscript, that quintessential template for indecipherable occult tomes in Call of Cthulhu (for its Call of Cthulhu stats see the Keeper’s Companion, Vol. 1), is in the news again. Carbon dating has established it was written the early 15th century, earlier than previously thought.
Despite centuries of work, cryptographers are no closer to unlocking its secrets. Those of us who know something of the truth of the world can only be grateful.
