The Unspeakable Oath wants more short submissions

The Unspeakable Oath has a pretty good selection of feature articles and scenarios from outside writers, but when it comes to short pieces we are lean and athirst.

Specifically, we would be happy to see more of these:

  • Arcane Artifacts: About 500 words on a particular Cthulhu Mythos object, ready for play.
  • Message in a Bottle: About 500 words of Mythos fiction with communication as its theme.
  • Mysterious Manuscripts: 600 to 800 words on a particular Mythos tome, ready for play.
  • Tales of Terror: About 500 words on a strange situation with three possible ways it might be played out in a game with a just little fleshing-out by the Keeper, some mundane and some supernatural.

Of those, the “Message in a Bottle” category has been the hardest to fit. We’ve gotten a lot of submissions for it but most of them have not followed the required theme. The lesson? Read the submission guidelines carefully. Write something good that follows those guidelines. And then send it in. We want to hear from you.
