Lovecraft, the writers who inspired him, and the writers who followed him.<\/p>\n<p>Created and published by game designers, writers and artists who love Cthulhu Mythos gaming, every issue provides ideas, inspiration, tools and techniques to make your games more horrific than ever.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Unspeakable Oath<\/em> began as the flagship publication of Pagan Publishing. It was founded by John Scott Tynes, who served as its editor-in-chief from 1990 to 2001. Today, <em>The Unspeakable Oath <\/em>is published by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arcdream.com\">Arc Dream Publishing<\/a> under license from Pagan Publishing, and guided by an editorial board including the magazine&#8217;s original creators. A new issue comes out every three months. More or less.<\/p>\n<p>Want to contribute? Each issue is at least 64 pages, 8.5&#8243; x 11&#8243;, perfect bound, with a color cover and black-and-white interior art. Each issue will also be available for download in PDF, and (eventually) in ebook formats for iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, and Kindle.<\/p>\n<h1>past issues and collectibles<\/h1>\n<p><em>The Unspeakable Oath<\/em> first ran for 11 years, from 1990 to 2001. The last issue of its original run, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkhambazaar.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=29&amp;products_id=123\">double issue 16\/17<\/a>, is still available at Arkham Bazaar. Appleton recently edited and co-authored (with John H. Crowe III) Pagan Publishing\u2019s\u00a0<em>Call of Cthulhu<\/em>\u00a0sourcebook\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkhambazaar.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;products_id=225\"><em>Mysteries of Mesoamerica<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Monte Cook:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Head of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montecook.com\/cgi-bin\/page.cgi?malhavoc\">Malhavoc Press<\/a>\u00a0and co-author (along with many members of this board) of the acclaimed Wizards of the Coast edition of\u00a0<em>Call of Cthulhu \u2014\u00a0<\/em>not to mention Third Edition\u00a0<em>Dungeons and Dragons,<\/em>\u00a0the massive D&amp;D game setting\u00a0<em>Ptolus<\/em>, <em>Numenara,\u00a0<\/em>and a hoard of other popular roleplaying game books.
