RPPR Delta Green Actual Play Recordings

RPPRGenCon is right around the corner, and we’re excited for all the gaming that’s going to be happening. This year Arc Dream is on track to having 20+ games of Delta Green happening for GenCon and we wanted to help Handlers and Agents alike prepare. In that vein we’ve scoured the Role-Playing Public Radio archives of Delta Green actual play sessions to help new Agents know what to expect and to give Handlers ideas for any games they’re running.

AGENTS BEWARE: If you plan on playing in any of these scenarios at GenCon or another gaming event, PLEASE DON’T LISTEN TO THESE RECORDINGS. In the spirit of good gaming, it would be a shame if you had spoilers of the horrors that await you.

The Storm

storm1-300x214Unnatural atmospheric conditions in a small city in Minnesota have gotten the attention of The Group. Nearby agents are activated in order to assess the situation and report back. Even if this is an act of god, the agents must find what god is behind it…

Contingency

dg-contigency-300x171A group of agents for the Program operating in the Northeast have been called up to a location in rural New York for a deniable op. No further orders have been given, so they wait, in the dark, in a car with false papers and their thoughts. When gunshots ring out at a nearby farm house, they realize the mission has just begun, but what exactly is the mission?

Kali Ghati

kali-ghati-300x220A mixed group of federal law enforcement and military agents find themselves in Afghanistan on a mission for Delta Green. A fellow Delta Green agent has gone missing from an Army base in a troubled province. It’s up to the agents to find him before the disappearance draws the kind of attention that Delta Green cannot afford. The missing agent went on a mission by himself into the heart of darkness. Even if the team survives the journey, can they gaze into the void and survive?

Last Things Last

last-things-last-300x169A long-retired agent died four days ago. Delta Green has tasked a team to make sure he didn’t leave any deadly secrets behind. The simple task turns dark when the agents find out he has an isolated cabin outside of the city, with secrets he didn’t tell anyone. What lurks beneath?

Sweetness

dg-sweetness-300x169Two kids, a nice house, and a Shadowman; the American dream. Ever since someone carved a symbol in the Bernier’s door, strange things have been happening. The mark drew in the conspiracy — a symbol for a creature worshiped in antiquity by a mystery cult. Working Group Icarus has been assigned to investigate the symbol  — but who has drawn it, and for what purpose? And what’s loose in the house, going bump in the night?

Star Chamber

star-chamber-300x169Delta Green’s Task Force T.I. screwed up. They were in Myanmar, deep in the undeveloped hinterlands. The operation went south, people died, and something unnatural and monstrous escaped — perhaps with the aid of an agent from the task force. Now they’re the operation for a new team of agents. Working Group Icarus must determine what really happened back in the jungle. A task easier said than done…

Future Perfect

dgfp1-300x169Decades ago, an explosion leveled the Hunt Electrodynamics Plant and put most of Hellbend, California, out of work. Now the town is nearly dead. Only eighty-two people call the crumbling remains of Hellbend home, and those few don’t look to the future. They get by on what they can, selling gas and goods to tourists on the way to the Death Valley National Park and biding their time. In another few years, Hellbend will die a natural death, shriveling up in the 110-degree summer heat, leaving behind a skeleton of ruined buildings as a monument to a better time.

But in the last month, something else has worn away at the town, something decidedly unnatural. If the murder rate in Hellbend continues, it’ll die a lot faster than a few years, and a lot more violently than just another victim of some dead industry.

Someone or something is killing the residents of Hellbend, California. No one knows who or what it is. Working Group Icarus has been tasked to find the killer and stop them.

Observer Effect

observer-dg-300x169If we look too deeply into the roiling chaos of reality, chaos may look back. The Olympian Holobeam Array, funded in part by the U.S. Department of Energy, was built to delve into a fringe theory of physics. A few hours ago, the Holobeam Array went online. A few minutes ago, it went offline in a catastrophic power surge. Its engineers soon restored power and communications. Its lead researcher said everything was fine. Working Group Icarus is sent in, under cover of a Department of Energy safety inspection. The Agents have no idea what they’ll find when they reach the Array.
